Plain-language explainer
No jargon. What the AI actually does with two photos, why the result is a fantasy and not a prediction, and where your data lives.
Two photos of adult faces — usually yours and your partner’s — or a portrait from our catalogue of historical figures. That is all. No DNA, no medical history, no questionnaire.
Before anything is uploaded you tick a consent box for each photo, and an automatic check refuses pictures of minors or explicit content.
Three steps, none of which involves genes.
Real inheritance involves thousands of genes, and a photo only shows what is visible — not what someone carries. The image model invents a believable face rather than computing a true one: run the same photos twice and you will get two different children.
Treat it the way you would a portrait artist’s guess: charming, sometimes uncannily close, never evidence of anything.
